Service Description

We have a Specialist Nurse here at the Surgery to advise with Asthma/COPD Prevention and Treatment. Our aim here at the Practice is to provide help and advice on diagnosing and managing respiratory diseases. For patients with established conditions this is achieved by asking patients to attend the surgery for a regular review of their medication. We offer an annual Asthma Review at the Practice with our Nurse. You will be notified of this by one of our reception team. We advise those with known asthma to follow the asthma management plan on the asthma uk websitehttp://www.asthma.org.uk/advice-asthma-action-plan These plans can also be obtained from the practice, if you don’t have access to this useful website. We offer advice on inhaler technique and help you complete your asthma management plan and it is of benefit if this is carried out before attending for your annual medication review with the practice.
